Water-soluble purge film for custom pipe welding dams
Aquasol Liquifilm water-soluble purge film is a transparent, cut-to-size material for creating temporary purge barriers inside pipe before TIG welding. Supplied as a 1 m x 20 m roll, it can be trimmed to suit a wide range of pipe diameters and formed into a custom purge dam where a standard preformed option is not the right fit.
The film is designed to hold a positive-pressure purge environment while allowing installers to add gas inlet and outlet openings. After welding, it dissolves with hot or cold water or steam. This makes it a practical purge-dam material for fabrication teams in the USA and Canada working with stainless steel, duplex, chromium steels and titanium alloys.
Why use transparent water-soluble film?
