Weld Purge Oxygen Monitors — Aquasol POM Series

A weld purge monitor measures the oxygen left in your purge gas, so you start welding on a reading instead of a guess. We supply Aquasol’s handheld POM oxygen monitors: the POM-100B reads to 100 ppm (0.01%) and the POM-5B to 5 ppm for ultra-high-purity work. Both kits have an internal sampling pump and Bluetooth logging, and ship factory calibrated with a dated certificate.

Both kits share an internal pump, live Bluetooth readings on Android, iOS and Windows, CSV or text log export, a red/amber/green display against your oxygen set point, ppm alarms, calibration with ambient air and 99.999% argon, and on-screen instructions in English, Spanish, German and Portuguese.

Why measure oxygen instead of purging by time

Purging for a fixed time is not a measurement. Turbulence, an imperfect seal, pipe geometry or poor venting can leave enough oxygen to oxidize the root ("sugaring") and cut corrosion resistance on stainless, titanium and duplex. A monitor confirms the purge has reached your procedure's limit — and stops you wasting argon purging longer than needed.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect a monitor to a purge bladder system?

Connect it to the white exhaust hose on any Aquasol I-Purge or I-Purge X system.

Can I keep readings for QA records?

Yes. Readings log through Aquasol's POM Connect app and export as CSV or text files.

How do ppm and percent compare?

1% oxygen = 10,000 ppm, so 0.01% = 100 ppm and 0.0005% = 5 ppm.
